Robert "Bob" Stark

Robert C “Bob” Stark, age 92, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Norwalk Memorial Home.

He was born February 17, 1926 in Norwalk to the late Marion M and Rachel (Smith) Stark. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School and attended Wheaton College. He served in the US Navy during World War II and operated the family business until the late 1980’s, Modern Market, in Norwalk. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed spending time in his yard and watching over his Koi Fish pond.

He is survived by his son, Richard (Mary Ann) Stark; grandchildren, Matthew Paul (Leah) Stark of Cincinnati, Marissa Ruth (Brad) Jones of Gilbert, AZ and Aaron William (Anne) Stark of West Point, NY; and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Jane E. Hoffman; brother, Jim (Rita) Stark; and a very special niece, Linda (Stark) Keefer.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ruth I. (Jacobs) Stark on November 26, 2017.

Friends may call on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Also, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd, Norwalk with the Rev. David W. Comstock officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
