Barbara L. Shupe

Barbara L (Thomas) Shupe, age 82, of Sandusky and formerly Norwalk, passed away Thursday morning, January 25, 2018 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born October 24, 1935 in Norwalk to the late Ambrose and Ruth Thomas. She attended Norwalk High School, Norwalk Baptist Church worked at the former Norwalk Thermostat, Maple City Rubber and retired from Berry’s Restaurant at age 70. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, traveling and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her sons, Willard A. (Tonya) Shupe of Sandusky and Timothy Shupe of Norwalk; grandchildren, Absalom, Olive, Emilya and V’Nes; and other special family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her children’s father, Willard Shupe Sr. in 1996; and her loving friend and companion, Thomas Brutsche.

Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Joe Lyons officiating, which she looked at as a grandson. Burial will follow at Fitchville Cemetery.
