Frances (Auble) Wechter, age 94, of New Boston, Michigan and formerly Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Elmcroft Assisted Living facility in Brownstown, Michigan, in the company of her loving family.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio July 22, 1923 to Frank and Gladys Auble. She married Alfred Wechter on December 19, 1942. She is survived by her twin sister, Agnes Johns of Parker County, CO, a sister, Winifred Kuhlman of Norwalk, OH; two daughters, Kathleen McGrady (Jay McGrady) of Woodstock, Conn., Rosemary Baptista (Tony Baptista) of Magalia, CA; and son, Douglas Wechter (Diane Wechter) of New Boston, MI; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred in 2003; son, Roger 1961; and her brother John Auble in December 2017.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, hiking, camping and passing these family traditions and her recipes down to her grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Evans Funeral Home 314 E. Main St. Norwalk on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm. A Mass of Catholic burial will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St. Norwalk with Rev. Paul Schreiner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery.
