Ruth Stark

Ruth Irene (Jacobs) Stark, age 92, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Norwalk Memorial Home.

She was born January 12, 1925 in Norwalk to the late Edwin C. and Frieda M. (Witter) Jacobs. She was a graduate of Norwalk High School and attended Oberlin College. She was a Senior Vice-President of the Huron County Bank in Norwalk for many years. She served on the Huron County Bank board, Fisher-Titus Medical Center board and the Beulah Beach board. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and its ladies bible study group. She was an avid gardener, played the piano and organ, enjoyed painting ceramics and their coy fish pond.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert “Bob” Stark of Norwalk; son, Richard (Mary Ann) Stark; grandchildren, Matthew Paul (Leah) Stark of Cincinnati, Marissa Ruth (Brad) Jones of Gilbert, AZ and Aaron William (Anne) Stark of West Point, NY; sister-in-law, Jane E. Hoffman; and a brother-in-law, Jim (Reta) Stark; and a very special niece, Linda (Stark) Keefer.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Also, Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd, Norwalk with the Rev. David W. Comstock officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
