Nancy Brest

Nancy L (Gundrum) Brest, age 81, of Norwalk and formerly Elyria, died Friday, September 1, 2017 at Gaymont Nursing Center after a brief illness.

She was born May 5, 1936 in Sandusky, OH to the late Paul and Lucille (Snyder) Gundrum and was a 1954 graduate of Margaretta High School. Nancy enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, playing bingo and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Kochheiser of Elyria and Connie (Jeff) Todd of Bayview; granddaughter, Bambi Potter of Elyria; grandson, Joseph S. Brown currently serving in the US Navy; granddaughter, Mary R. Brown of Baltimore, MD; and four great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Judy) Gundrum of Castalia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward Brest; sister, Marilyn Estep; and brother, Richard Gundrum.

Private family interment will be held at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, where she will be placed next to her husband, Edward.
