Marilyn E. Ferrell

Marilyn Elizabeth (Finch) Ferrell, 84, passed away on September 1, 2026. She was born on May 14, 1942, the third daughter of Charles P. Finch and Mary E. (Conry) Finch.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, W. Frank Ferrell; her parents, Charles and Mary Finch; and her younger brother, Michael Finch. Marilyn is survived by her three sisters; Kathryn (Finch) Battles of Norwalk, Ohio; Mary Lou (Finch) Clark of Huntington Beach, California; and Clara A. (Finch) Bertram of Maineville, OH, along with several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was a proud graduate of Norwalk High School, Class of 1960. She treasured the friendships she made during her school years and remained closely connected with her classmates throughout her life. For many years, she faithfully attended the monthly class luncheons, enjoying the opportunity to reminisce, laugh, and keep those lifelong friendships alive. Marilyn and her husband, Frank, were both longtime employees of Boxboard Packaging in Norwalk, Ohio, where they worked for many years before retiring. Their years at Boxboard were an important part of their lives and their connection to the Norwalk community.
Marilyn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 711 in Norwalk and American Legion Post 41, where she enjoyed the fellowship of friends and family. One of her favorite traditions was sharing weekly lunches at the Legion with her sister Kathryn. Marilyn will be remembered for her love of family, her loyalty to lifelong friendships, and the importance she placed on staying connected with the people who had been part of her life. She found joy in the familiar faces, conversations, and traditions that made her feel at home. Though she is gone from our sight, Marilyn's memory will live on in the hearts of her sisters, nieces, nephews, classmates, friends, former coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, Marilyn. Your journey is complete, but the memories and love you left behind will remain forever.
A private graveside will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
