Michael D. Babcock Sr.

Michael D Babcock Sr, age 80, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born January 19, 1946, in Sandusky to the late Joseph and Marie Babcock. He worked at Western and Southern Life Insurance and Transamerica Life Insurance in Estate Planning for many years. He owned and operated Distinctive Auto Detailing in Norwalk along with his wife, Patty.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia (Smith) Babcock; children, Elizabeth (Ricky) Franks of SC, Dawn Babcock of TN, Rachel Reynolds of Maumee, Nicholas (Jackie Scanlan) Smith of Vermilion, and Andrew (Merfys) Cedeno of NJ; many grandchildren; and his sister, Michelle Reardon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Milan Baptist Church, 5199 Old State Road, Milan, OH. Private interment will be held at Milan Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
