Bonnie Hehrer

Bonnie Hehrer, age 91, of Norwalk, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Reserve Care in Sandusky, Ohio. Bonnie was a blessed soul whose devotion to her family was deeper than words could ever express. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was born March 19, 1935 in Huron, Ohio. A lifelong resident of Norwalk, Bonnie built a life rooted in love, faith, and family She was married to the love of her life, Norman Hehrer, on December 30, 1952, and remained faithfully married for 47 years. Together they had three children. She was a homemaker lived in the area all her life and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Bonnie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved working on puzzles, sharing stories around the table, and filling her home with the comforting aroma of her incredible cooking. She was especially known for her famous coconut cream pies and the cherished Hehrer family recipe for her marshmallow salad, a tradition she lovingly prepared for her favorite holidays year after year.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Mark (Kathy Parker) Hehrer of Norwalk, Michael (Julie) Hehrer of Norwalk, and Melissa (Andy) Faley of Norwalk; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, parents William and Ethel Taylor; two sons at infancy, Scott and Dean Hehrer. Though she endured great loss, Bonnie’s strength, grace, and compassion never wavered.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Private service and interment will be held at a later date.
