Donald "Don" J. Wobser

Donald “Don” James Wobser, age 71, of Collins, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital.
He was born June 4, 1954, in Norwalk to the late James E. and Mary A. (Sanders) Wobser. He was a 1972 graduate of Western Reserve High School and worked in carpentry all his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, hunting and the outdoors. He enjoyed attending Friday night football games with his children and grandchildren and was a Charter member of the Wakeman Eagles and a member of the Norwalk American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Wilametta “Janey” (Irwin) Wobser; children, Mike (McKenzie) Wobser of Wakeman, Lisa (Tom) Smith of Rawson, Denise Slagle of Marion, Laura Williams of Bucyrus and James (Marie) Williams of Crestline; grandchildren, Gracyn, Mason, Anjali, Luke, Brody, Gabby, Jeremiah, Aaliyah, and Malachi; and his sister, Penny (Bob) Bechstein of FL.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held Tuesday, May12, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
