Shirley Lonz

Shirley (Hawes) Lonz, age 57, of Clyde and formerly Monroeville, OH passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Bellevue Care Center.

She was born January 9, 1969, in Evansville, IN to Clyde and Martha (Poole) Hawes was raised and attended High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and worked in property management and cleaning services. She enjoyed bird watching, especially her hummingbirds, doing puzzles, loved all animals, playing rummy, and was a talented baker and known for her outspoken nature.

She is survived by her children, Karie Missler and Dwayne Lefler Jr.; six grandchildren; 12 siblings, and niece, Jennifer Meagrow and her mother, Sandy Lonz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David Lonz in 2024; and a granddaughter, Izara; and sister-in-law, Catherine Lonz and brother-in-law, Duane Lonz

A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date. Private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
