James Curtis Smith

James Curtis Smith, age 78, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born May 21, 1947, in Richwood, WV to the late Roy Lee Smith and Mary Faye (Reid) Smith. He was a 1968 graduate of Fairless High School. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1968 until 1970 and retired with the Army National Guard. He worked in maintenance for many years at New Horizon Bakery and the former ACMI in Norwalk. He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking flying lessons, walking and hiking in the woods, and bird watching.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Smith; children, Raine Robinson and Schuyler Smith; siblings, Don Smith, Nancy Phillips, Teresa Mays, and Martha Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John; and sisters, Betty, Retta, and Jessie.
A celebration of life service will be held in the summer of 2026.
