Richard W. Jump

Richard W Jump, age 69, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center surrounded by his family.
“Rest in Peace, now enjoy your time on the beach!”
Rick was born May 25, 1956, in Norwalk, son of the now deceased Jeane Jump South and Max Jump. After Max’s death he was raised by his now deceased stepfather, Delbert C. South. He graduated from Monroeville High School and attended EHOVE career center. When Rick was working at Krull Sunoco in Monroeville he met his future bride, Kathy, whom he had been married to for over 48 years. He also worked at Midwest Industries, the family business at Hess Hardware and Janotta & Herner.
Rick loved fixing and adapting things to make them work. He was a hardworking man and helped anyone who asked. He was known as a great role model and had a great sense of humor.
Rick leaves behind his wife, Kathy, his loving children, Nick (Alisha) Jump, and Kristine Jump; his sister, Suzanne Jump; sisters-in-law, Marge Coup, Diane (Joe) Clauda, and Carol Hartzell; precious grandchildren, Hunter and Addysen Speer, Katrina Grant, Briena Saner, Jaydn Jump, Keegan and Kasen Grose; along with many nieces and nephews. His honorary family members are related by love, Chris (Kim) Moore and family, Jen (Rod) Lambert and family, Jean Moore, Jacquie Moore, Eliot Comstock and Dr. Rob.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Ricky and Jason; brothers, Chuck Williams and Tim Jump.
The family would like to thank the incredible doctors and staff, respiratory and physical therapists and especially Stephanie for the care they gave him.
A celebration of life will be held as a future date. The family wishes that any memorial contributions in Rick’s memory to be made to the Tim Jump Memorial Fund c/o Monroeville High School, 101 West Street, Monroeville, OH 44847.
