Gregory A. Morey

Gregory A Morey, 71, of Milan, Ohio, was called home to be with the Lord our Father on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center. He was born August 12, 1954, in Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Richard and Betty (Weibling) Morey.

Greg was a 1973 graduate of Edison High School in Milan, Ohio. He worked at Cedar Point as a ride operator for two summers before beginning his career as a line operator at Clevite in Milan, Ohio, from which he retired after many years of dedication. His greatest passions were music and spending time with his fiancée, Rhea Mae, later in life. Greg was an exceptional drummer, playing and singing in bands for many years, sharing his talent and joy with countless friends and audiences.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Vickie L. Morey, who passed away November 2, 2019, as well as by his parents and his dog, Mazie. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Burgess, his devoted fiancée, Rhea Mae Grosswiler-Dixon, and his cousin Kevin (Diane) Bogdan. He is so loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 8, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 9, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 145 Center Street in Milan. Father Travis Kahle will be officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron. There will be a luncheon afterwards.
