Paul R. Newyear

Paul Richard Newyear, age 90, of Huron, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, at his residence.

He was born September 25, 1934, in Willoughby, OH to the late Frank and Mabel Newyear.  He served in the Armed Forces Reserve, and retired after 30 years as a millwright at Sandusky Ford Motor Co.  He enjoyed working with his hands, building houses, collecting and rebuilding Allis-Chalmer tractors, attending tractor shows, and working in his shop.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Frank (Angela) Newyear of Defiance, Tanya (Greg) Kennedy of Painesville, and Jaime (Michael Leichty) Handy of Berlin Heights; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his children, Thomas Newyear, Angela Stoller, and Bruce Newyear.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Clarksfield Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, OH.
