Sharon Jean (Smith) Francisco, 73, of Norwalk, died peacefully Monday, May 26, 2025, at Fisher-Titus, with her loving and devoted husband, Wayne Francisco, by her side.
She was born December 14, 1951, to Peter A. and Mary L. Smith, in Monroeville. Sharon was the sixth of eleven children. In 1970, she graduated from Monroeville High School and EHOVE Career Center where she studied horticulture, which led to a lifelong love of plants, flowers and gardening. Sharon also loved crafting and was a great cook.
Sharon and Wayne were married on July 20, 1974, celebrating 50 years together. In addition to her husband, Wayne, she is survived by her sisters, Susan (Mike) McFadden, Elaine (Miguel) Bolio, Dr. Darlene Smith (Eric Gangluff); brothers, Vern Smith, Marvin Smith, John Smith, Melvin (Carol) Smith; her sister-in-law Janet (James) Hancock; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Smith; sisters Dr. Ruth Cover Tarleton, Rita Leber and Barbara Brassard; sisters-in-law Yavone Smith, Clara Anderson and Karen Striker; and brother-in-law John Francisco.
A celebration of life service for family and close friends will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to consider a gift to your favorite local charity or church.
