Maxine Baker

Maxine (Mullins) Bishop Baker, age 90, of New London and formerly Norwalk, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at her residence where she lived with her Granddaughter Nicole (Chad), grandsons Jacob and Gavin Bilton. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born December 19, 1934, in Garrett, Kentucky to the late Kiser and Adeline (Prater) Mullins. She lived in Norwalk for many years and retired in 2010 from Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed working puzzles and playing rummy with her family and dear friend Cathy Burdue. Maxine also enjoyed a good trip to the Casino and vacationing with the girls. She was a past member of the American Legion and VFW.
She is survived by her son’s David (Kim) Sharp of Kentucky, Steven (Patty) Sharp of Circleville; daughters, Melissa (Ed) Ferber of New London, Precious (Matt) Goin of Willard; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Jerry Baker; Son Jack Bishop of CA, Parents Kiser and Adaline Mullins of OH, Sister Louise McGee of MI, and Brother Whitt Mullins of MI.
At Maxine’s request there will be no services. Your memories and words of comfort may be shared with Maxine’s family. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
