Barbara Kimberly
December 15, 2024
Barbara Kimberly, age 77, departed for heaven on Sunday, December 15, 2024 to be greeted by her Lord and Savior and welcomed by the loved ones who had gone before her.
Barbara was born March 10, 1947. She lived in Lorain, OH until moving to Norwalk with her husband, Jeff in 1987. Barbara worked many places during her long career. Here in Norwalk, she was secretary for Attorney Ron Freeman, a temp receptionist at Mayflower, secretary at the Norwalk Street Department, front office at The Senior Enrichment Center, and her final position was switchboard operator at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She made new friends at each place she worked.
Barbara was a member of the Firelands Computer Club and loved her time there, and everything she learned. She was especially grateful to her friend, Jeff Franklin, for the many years he presided over the group and shared his expertise.
She loved her family, and for many years she and her husband, Jeff, had the pleasure of spending weekends with all three grandchildren, taking them on many adventures.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Kimberly; daughters, Amy Auger and Jennifer Casedy; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Austin Lynch) Casedy and Jared Casedy and Jacob Auger; great-grandson, Matthew Lynch; brothers, Chester (Evie) Luman of Lorain, Nick (Sharon) Luman of Vermilion, Phil (Carol) Luman of NE, and Greg (Karen) Luman of Lorain; sisters, Lynette Witter of Elyria, Debbie Schon of MS, and Tammy Hainline of TX; nieces and nephews.
Family meeting her in Heaven are her parents, Chester “Ike” and Mary Luman; brothers, David and Tim; and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Ron Poyle; and brothers-in-law, Greg Schon and Bill Hainline.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A service will follow at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, OH with Pastor Gary Dorsey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Barbara's name can be made to The Piggyback Foundation who "have a passion for helping people facing life-threatening illnesses like cancer." http://thepiggybackfoundation.org/how-to-help.
