Dorothy May (Zuk) Scheid

Dorothy May (Zuk) Scheid, age 85, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, surrounded by her family. 

She was born on December 31, 1938, to the late Adam and Mary Zuk. Dorothy took delight in attending her grandchildren’s activities, preparing traditional meals during holiday gatherings, and was known for her exceptional baking and cake decorating skills. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, swimming, and attending craft shows with her sister. Above all, her greatest legacy is her unwavering devotion to her family. Her selflessness will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Scheid and Kenneth (Bethany) Scheid; her brother, David (Becky) Zuk; and her adoring grandchildren, who brought her immense joy: Zannder, Jarrett, Ian, Casey, Cassidy, Jeremy, and Michael, along with several great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Mary.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Donald (Nora) Zuk, Robert Zuk, Elizabeth (Cloyce) Finch, and Thomas Zuk.

A private service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, to honor the life of Dorothy May Scheid.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
