James R Fulton, Sr.

James R Fulton, Sr, age 88, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born February 29, 1936, in Wakeman to the late Ralph and Edith (Thayer) Fulton. He graduated from Wakeman High School and served in the US Army from 1955 until 1957, then married his wife, Carol (O’Donnell) Fulton. He enjoyed following his children’s activities and school sports. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Cleveland baseball and football. In his earlier years he worked at Midway Parts, Nicholas Equipment, Sandusky Machine, Lawrence and Battles, and retired from New Departure Hyatt in Sandusky as a tool and die maker.
He is survived by his sons, James (Jennifer) Fulton, Jr. of Norwalk, and Michael (Nancy) Fulton of Gillette, WY; grandchildren, Amy, Colin, David, Justin and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Jack and Sophie.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Carol A. (O’Donnell) Fulton in 2013; his parents; brothers, Howard Fulton and Harold Fulton.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery with military honors.
