Alta M. Eads

Alta Marie (Irvine) Eads, age 75, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at her residence.

She was born November 19, 1948, in Sandusky and attended Sandusky High School and Providence School of Nursing.  Most of her life she was known as a caretaker for her family and friends. She worked in medical coding and retired from Quadex in Norwalk.  She enjoyed planting flowers and gardening and was an avid cook.  She enjoyed animals, attending garage sales and the Foundation Church. She was known as an all-around great cook and had numerous cookbooks.

She is survived by her husband, David Eads of 55 years; children, Jim (Teri) Irvine of Willard, Marianne (Frank) Rodgriguez of El Paso, TX, Chuck Doud of Virginia Beach, VA, and Chris Eads of Norwalk; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Snowden and Teri Menacci; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Eads; mother, Ann Grace Holliday; brothers, Bob and Chuck; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association.
