Nancy Anne Baker

Nancy Anne (Clayton) Baker, age 87, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at Norwalk Memorial Home with her family at her side.
She was born July 14, 1937, in Wooster, OH to the late John “Jack” T. and Mildred (Schlegel) Clayton. She graduated from Galion Senior High School in 1955, Mt. Carmel Hospital School of Nursing in 1958 and received her BSN from The Ohio State University. She worked at various nursing homes as a registered nurse in Florida, Arizona and Ohio.
She is survived by her children, Mark T. (Lisa) Makovic, Geralyn K. Hunt, and Barbara E. Willey; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece, Tamara Malcolm; nephews, Scott and Richard Hrabko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Barbara Clayton; brother, James A. Hughes; daughter, Diana Marie Makovic; and grandson, Corey R. Arnold.
At Nancy’s request cremation will take place and private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
