Shirley Adkins Sikora

Shirley V (Adkins) Sikora, age 65, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at her residence.
She was born June 6, 1958, in Lorain, OH to the late Fred and Isolene Adkins. She was a graduate of Huron High School and received a bachelor’s degree in American history from Cleveland State University. She enjoyed working at Oberlin College for many years, and especially connecting with the students in the Student Union Hall, where she worked. She enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for her family and friends. She attended family reunions for many years in Kentucky and was a special aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She was a great sister and friend to all.
She is survived by her husband, James M. Sikora, to whom she married October 1999; siblings, Dwight Adkins, Cecil (Debbie) Adkins, Freddy C. Adkins, and Ida (Larry) Barnhart; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Gregory E. Adkins, Timothy A. Adkins, and Donald McDaniel.
A celebration of life visitation will be held Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at a later date.
