Jeanette "Jeannie" G. Adelman

Jeanette “Jeannie” G Adelman, age 92, of Castalia and formerly Norwalk, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2024, at her residence.

She was born June 25, 1931, in Norwalk to the late Elmer and Harriet Bell. She was a cashier at the A&P store for a few years, then married Arnold Adelman on July 28, 1953, then raised their seven children. She then later worked at Trans-Tec now Freudenburg for over 25 years, retiring in 1998. Jeannie was then able to enjoy her family and continue her many warm weather vacations with her children. She also enjoyed baking pies and cookies, cooking, playing bingo and visiting casinos, and most recently making blankets for Project Linus.

She will be remembered by her children, Tony (Connie) Adelman, Lisa Adelman, Linda Adelman, Cindy Adelman, Todd Adelman, Robin Duncan, and Jeannie (Brian) Snay; grandchildren, Amy Everhart, Tony Shelton, Alan Shelton, Richard Schnell, Allen Schneider, Gerard Schneider Jr., Lindi Fields, Heather Armstrong, Brooke Adelman, Brandon Adelman, Felicia Adelman, Bradley Duncan, Dylan Mulvin, Brianna Purcell, Cassie Snay, Alex Snay, and Joshua Snay; and her sister, Becky (Ben) Fleming; and many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Allen Adelman; brothers, Bobby and Bill; sister, Barbara; and great-granddaughter, Alli Jo Kurdinat.

A celebration of Jeannie’s life will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A graveside will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
