Ted A. Taylor, Jr.

Ted A Taylor Jr, age 62, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at his residence.

He was born October 29, 1961, in Norwalk to Ted Sr. and Phyllis (Koch) Taylor. He was a 1979 graduate of Norwalk High School and worked briefly at West Baking in Norwalk.  He served in the US Air Force and the US Army.  He then obtained his CDL and worked for Hartland Express as a Truck Driver and retired from R & L Carriers after 29 years. He was an avid race fan and raced his drag car and 1974 Vega at Norwalk Raceway for many years.  He enjoyed working on cars, hunting and especially enjoyed his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Carol D. (Colish) Taylor; children, Stephany, Ted III, and Shauna; stepchildren, Olivia and Reba; siblings, Bill, Tom (Rita), Daron (Paula), and Amy Peterson; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Taylor Sr; and a nephew, Austin Teeters.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 200 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, OH.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857.
