Roy Wayne Barrett Jr.

Roy Wayne Barrett Jr, age 78, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Cleveland Metro Hospital.
He was born January 25, 1946, in Cleveland to the late Roy Sr. and Marie (Whitmer) Barrett. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 until 1969. He enjoyed classic cars and especially the 55 Chevy. Roy was Ohio’s Biggest John Mellencamp Fan and enjoyed rock and roll music. He worked many years with GM in Ontario and Sandusky Packaging.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Brittany Bennett) Barrett, Ryan Barrett, and Kelly (Diana Thompson) Barrett; grandchildren, Ryan (Ashlyn) Barrett and their children Paisley and Ellie, Jacob Barrett, Letty Barrett, and Emma Barrett; sisters, Bonnie Gallo and Judy Keeton; brothers, Michael Barrett and Tom Barrett; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son in infancy, Ryan Barrett I.
Visitation for family and friends will be held 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Interment with military honors will be held 12:00 noon Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Norwalk.
