Sandra "Sandy" Wurmser

Sandra “Sandy” Wurmser, age 65, of Bellevue, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her family after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer.

She was born February 21, 1959, in Norwalk to Melvin and Ann (Albright) Keefer. She raised her children in Milan and enjoyed spending time with them and following their activities. She worked seven years at New Horizon’s West Baking, 26 ½ years for Freudenberg, and was a candy striper at Fisher-Titus in her early years.

“She loved to go dancing, went for walks, loved camping. She spent a lot of time with her grandchildren, loved laughing and big hugs. Lived her life as everyday as you can.” - Sandy

Her family shares that she appreciated the simple things in life, had compassion for others, enjoyed hiking and camping at Mohican, and making memories with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Wurmser of Bellevue; children, Brad (Illyana) Wurmser of Prescott, AZ, Todd Wurmser of Monroeville, and Mandi (Kevin) Miller of Clyde; grandchildren, Jordyn Wurmser, Evelyn Wurmser, Jacob Miller, Myla Miller, Macie Wurmser, and Kason Wurmser; siblings, Alice (Ron) Appeman, Mark Keefer, Jackie (Gary) Desmond, and Jeff (Tammy) Keefer; sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Marc) Yetter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Keefer; and her in-laws, Ralph and Betty Wurmser.

Her celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the First Church of Bellevue, 901 Northwest Street, Bellevue, OH.  All are welcome to come and enjoy sharing Sandy’s love of life.
