Zudie M. Butler

Zudie M Butler, age 92, of Norwalk and formerly Vermilion, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born June 9, 1931, in Alcorn County, Mississippi to the late Walter and Ludi (Dixon) Pittman. She moved with her husband, Robert in 1958 to Vermilion, and later moved to Norwalk in 2004. She loved being with her family and enjoyed her outside flowers.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Robert) Caris of Norwalk, Janet (Charles) Johnson of Corinth, Mississippi; and Alton (Lois) Butler of La Grange, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jeremy C. Caris, Scott A. Butler, Michael A. Caris, Colleen Jerrod, Paul T. Johnson, and Timothy C. Johnson; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Erva Wilbanks; and sister-in-law, Omma Ray Pittman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Butler; son, James L. Butler; grandson, Andrew J. Butler; and her brothers, Ezra (Drucilla) Pittman, and Billy Madden Pittman.
There will be no visitation of local services. Interment will be held at a later date in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, OH.
