Jimmy C. Johnson

Jimmy C Johnson, age 85, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Monday, December 4, 2023, at his residence to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born November 21, 1938, in Dallas, Texas to the late Cleo A. Johnson and Janice A. (Caulder) Johnson. He retired from the US Coast Guard with over 23 years in Air Search and Rescue, during Vietnam and Stateside. He worked for the Huron City Fire Department for 12 years and North Central EMS for 27 years. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and friends and was a member of the Norwalk Eagles, American Legion Post 41, and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2743. Also, the Golden Age Eagle in Huron, OH. He enjoyed animals and was an avid fan of John Wayne and Western Movies.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda L. (Davis) Johnson of Norwalk; and his niece, Kathy Petty of Dallas, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charlie Johnson.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 noon at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, followed by military honors. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Huron City Fire Department, or the Huron County Humane Society.
