Catherine “Cathy” A Kinney, age 68, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born July 4, 1954, in Norwalk and was a 1972 graduate of Norwalk High School. She was co-owner and accountant of Prestige Pools in Norwalk. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing on Kenilee bowling leagues and tournaments. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Roger A. Kinney; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Ashley Kinney of Norwalk; mother, Betty Mirtes of Norwalk; grandchildren, Mason, Claire, Corynne, Myra, and Hudson; siblings, Linda Bowling, Diana (Lynn) Pack, Michael (Kathy) Mirtes, Brad (Tonya) Mirtes, Scott (Christina) Mirtes, and Julia Mirtes; special nephew, Tanner and other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dick Sommers; and step-father, Don Mirtes.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
