Laura (White) Ilg, age 31, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She was born April 28, 1992, in Jacksonville, NC. She enjoyed attending her church and spending time with her family. She always wanted to be a mother and a wife. She met her husband, Alek, while he was in the Marines, and married November 23, 2018. She was an avid reader and especially liked Harry Potter, crafting and enjoyed board games and was a child at heart.
She is survived by her husband, Alek Ilg of Norwalk; son, Liam at home; parents, Curtis and Melanie White; siblings, Ashley Herrera of SC, Tara Robinette of NC, Grace White of NC, Mellie White of NC, and Curtis White Jr. of NC; father-in-law, William “Chip” (Meghan) Ilg of Grafton and Helen (Mike) Hoyt of Norwalk; sisters-in-law, Terra (Nick) Loyer of Norwalk and Rhydian (Finn) Ilg of Norwalk; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her baby boy, Talisen; and grandfather-in-law, Mark Stoll.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

I'm still in shock and disbelief that Laura and her baby boy are gone. Laura was so sweet and talented as an artist. She will be forever missed. Prayers for her and her family and friends. May God bless each of you and bring you peace at this time.
