Fred C. Frisch

Fred Clinton Frisch, age 82, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born April 10, 1941, in Bellevue, OH to the late Fred G. and Marie E. (Carlock) Frisch.  He served in the US Army from 1964 until 1967 and was station in Germany as a tank mechanic.  He worked for 31 years at the Sandusky Crush Stone Quarry, retiring in 2004.  He enjoyed over 20 years seasonal camping at Claremar Twin Lakes Camping Resort with his wife, where they provided firewood and enjoyed their friendships.  He and his wife, Marlene, also provided meals and catered for many auctions and flea markets.  In his spare time, he enjoyed mowing his yard and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marlene (Wright) Frisch of Norwalk; and his children, Harold L. Kovach, Cheryl (Dan) Willman, and Tracie Kovach, all of Norwalk; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Rita (Phil) Williams of Brookfield, OH, Cathy Yontz of Sandusky, and Dean Frisch of Flat Rock, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, and daughter, Kimberly K. Kovach in 2008; siblings, John Frisch, Judy Frisch, Leona Staugh, and Margaret Frisch in infancy; and brother-in-law, Danny Yontz.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.  Memorial contributions may be sent to the Huron County Veteran Services.
