Emmitt Carroll

Emmitt Carroll, age 73, of Wakeman and formerly Berlin Heights, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
He was born November 10, 1949, in Prestonsburg, KY and attended Western Reserve High School. He was raised by his grandparents, L.B. and Cynthia Case. He worked in construction and owned A-1 Auto Sales and True Value Auto Sales. He attended New Covenant Lighthouse Ministries in Norwalk and enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family and especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Carroll; children, Stacy (Ruben) Garcia of Norwalk, Troy Carroll of WI, Jason (Jessie) Carroll of Norwalk, Cyndi (Randy) Hayes of South Amherst, Eric Carroll of Bellevue, Kathy (Fred) Hartman of Wakeman, and Margie Carroll of FL; brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Carroll in 1986; and a brother, Larry Wooten.
Friends may call Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the Trinity Temple Church, State Route 113 E., Milan, OH. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 6, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the church with Rev. Ken Blystone officiating. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project, Ronald Mc Donald House or the New Covenant Lighthouse Ministries building fund.
