Ruby Tule

Ruby E Tule, age 94, of Norwalk, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born April 20, 1928, in Delbarton, WV to the late George W. and Orva (Tiller) Ferrell. She was an avid reader and jigsaw puzzler. She also liked to golf and bowl, where her four-person bowling team earned some championships. She loved gardening and always had her own garden. She was a Cleveland Indians superfan, always referring to the team as “hers”. She cruised with Cleveland Indians in the 90s and had collected many team autographs, emblems, pictures, etc. She was considered a "NASCAR woman" that loved Jeff Gordan, where he was her all-time favorite driver.

She was a member of the Port Clinton Eagles Lodge Aerie 2295 and the Port Clinton VFW Post 2480 Auxiliary, where she marched for its color guard into her early 80s. She was a past member of the Port Clinton Moose Lodge. Her club friends nicknamed her “Ruby Doo”.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Linda Brady) Ferrell of Norwalk; granddaughter, Jodi (Brad) Reineck; great-granddaughter, Laney Reineck; and great-grandson, Nathan (Serena) Reineck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Tule; sister and brother-in-law, Polly & Reather Ward; brothers, Wallace Ferrell, Cleatus Ferrell, and Frankie Ferrell; and grandson, Rob Ferrell.

A private graveside service will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
