Edgar A. Brant

Edgar A Brant, age 88, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Kobacker House in Columbus.

He was born September 26, 1934, in Huron and was a graduate of Margaretta High School.  He served in the US Army from 1954 until 1959 during the German occupation. He was a truck driver and mechanic most of his life with Norwalk Furniture and Heislers, Inc Service. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Local #20 Retired Truck Drivers, Norwalk VFW Post 2743, Norwalk Bronson Conservation Club, and Eagles Aerie #711.  He enjoyed spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his son, Howard (Melinda) Brant of Hilliard; grandson, Griffin; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Cora Grace Brant in 2021; parents, Walter Sr., and Mildred (Sullivan) Brant; siblings, Walter Brant Jr., Evelyn Scheid, Richard Brant, Mary Williams, Virginia Butts, and Jack Brant.

Friends may call Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.  A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in the funeral home. Private interment will be held at a later date in Berlin Heights.
