Mark "Smitty" Smith

Mark “Smitty” Smith, age 58, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at his residence.

He was born January 8, 1964, in Greenfield, OH and graduated from Wilmington High School, where he was an All American in basketball and football.  He dedicated his life to R & L Trucking in Norwalk as a dock supervisor for over 39 years. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and enjoyed golfing.  He was known to be friendly to everyone he met and frequently visited Hy Miler and Dublos Carryout and loved his scratch off tickets.  He enjoyed his little Debbie snack cakes and his apple pie shots. He was very proud of his “sugar buns” daughters.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Reinhart of Wilmington; wife, Megyn (Warner) Smith of Norwalk; children, Cierra Robinson of Zanesville, Morgyn (fiancé Abreanna Arnold) Smith of Norwalk, Madison (Aleczander Shaffer) Smith of Findlay, Miley Smith of Norwalk; and their dog, Harlow Jennings; siblings, Steven Smith of Cincinnati, Rick Smith of Dayton, and Kat Smith of Wilmington; and numerous other family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Graham Smith; and a granddaughter, Keirynn.

A celebration of life visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M. in the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at a later date.

Smitty dogg was one of a kind. It's hard to remember a time when he was serious or just not laughing. He was great company to be around and silly as hell. His girls loved him fiercely and he will truly be missed. See you in Heaven Smitt Dogg
