Cleatus "Cleat" Lee Ferrell Jr.

December 21, 2022

Cleatus "Cleat" Lee Ferrell Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Cleatus "Cleat" Lee Ferrell Jr. Cleat was born in Williamson, West Virginia on March 23, 1956 and lived in Norwalk, Ohio until his passing at Oak Hills Nursing Center (Lorain). He was 66 years old at death on December 21, 2022.

Cleat was a 1974 graduate of Norwalk High School. He worked for Norwalk Furniture until retirement in 2008. Cleat was the founder of DotCOM Fabrics and enjoyed success in online sales and customer service from 2000 until he sold the base business in 2004. Cleat was an avid runner, qualifying for the Boston Marathon six times. He loved the arts as well as the outdoors. He combined his design talents and nature doing landscape work with Iris Riley until 2021. Cleat's creativeness was ever evolving, and he always amazed people with his unique stylings. As an animal lover, it was rare to see him without his faithful companion by his side.

Cleat is preceded in death by his father, Cleatus Sr. in 2016, and mother, Ida (Varney) Ferrell in 2022.

He is survived by his daughters; Tiffanie Ferrell of Collins, Steffani (Jeff) Service of Norwalk, Kristen (Jason) Phillips of Dayton, and grandchildren; Colton Service, Brody Service, Joey Mae Phillips, Haley Phillips, and canine, Bocephus.

There is no visitation scheduled, though remembrance gifts may be made to the Huron County Humane Society. A private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
