Sara "Sally" L. Pugh

Sara “Sally” L Pugh, age 94, of Collins, died Friday, November 25, 2022, at her residence.

She was born April 15, 1928, in New Brighton, PA to the late Charles and Eva Mae (Burger) Lindahl.  She grew up in Beaver, PA and graduated from Beaver High School.  At 18 she married Bob Pugh and moved to Rhode Island while he served in the US Navy.  Afterwards, she moved with her husband since he was a salesman to Pennsylvania, Michigan and then to Ohio.  They made many friends along their travels and enjoyed raising their family.  She was involved in Christian Women’s Club and lead many bible studies in Norwalk and Ashland.  She was a “pink lady” at Fisher-Titus Medical Center and volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years.  She enjoyed being involved in her children and grandchildren’s activities and sports, known as “the Pugh boys’ mother”.  Also known as “Bob Pugh’s wife” and loved it.  She was a member of the Lakeview United Methodist Church in Berlin Heights and loved the people and the Pastor.

She is survived by her children, David of Collins, Kristine (Mark) Scimshaw of East Aurora, NY, Dan (Chris) of Apache Junction, Bob (Eric Deer) of Milan, and Dick (Wendy) of Collins; nine grandchildren, Jenni (Billy) Ramsey, Liz (Erik) Raeburn, Matt (Michelle) Pugh, Mike (Tara) Pugh, Adam (Amber) Pugh, Dan (Doris) Pugh, Jason (Jess) Pugh, Nick (Chelsey) Pugh, Ashley (Tim) Morrow; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Pugh in 1997 whom she will see again with their many pets at the Rainbow Bridge; sisters, Margy McIntosh, and Nancy Persing.

Friends may call Monday, December 5, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 6 South Street, Berlin Heights, OH with pastor Richard Kretchmar officiating.  Burial will follow at Cable Road Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be sent to the church or one’s favorite charity.  Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
