Dorothy Silcox

Dorothy M Silcox, age 93, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born June 12, 1929, in Cleveland, OH to the late William E. McKain and Goldie Irene (Williamson) Walsh.  She was a 1947 graduate of Norwalk High School and obtained her Licensed Practical Nurses training.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and worked over 45 years at the Norwalk Clinic.

She is survived by her children, Thomas A. (Barbara) Silcox, Timothy E. (Patricia) Silcox and Robert Silcox, all of Norwalk; grandsons, Derek Silcox of Grove City, OH, Christopher (Tanya) Silcox of Wooster, Tyler (Heather) Silcox of Shelby, and Brad Taylor of Germantown, MD; granddaughter, Robyn (Reyanaldo) Femilois of Ruskin, FL; two great-grandsons, two great granddaughters; four step-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her twin sister, Doris Humphrey of Norwalk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Silcox; brother, Harry McKain; sisters, Mary Fitzgerald, Mildred Kraft, and Edwina Dotson.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, November 18, 2022, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
