Emma Schweizer

Emma (Krieg) Schweizer, age 86, of Norwalk, passed away, Monday, November 7, 2022, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

She was born August 17, 1936, in Germany and moved to the United States in 1955. She worked at Fanny Farmers as a packer, and 25 years with Norwalk Furniture, and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was a member of the Mansfield Liederkranz.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Janet) Schweizer of Norwalk and Robert (Margaret) Schweizer of Rochester, NY; daughters, Susan (Fred Masic) Schweizer of Norwalk and Tina (Troy) Davis of Mansfield; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Rudolf (Ursula) Krieg, Alfons (Hedwig) Krieg, Erich Krieg all from Germany; sisters, Kriszentia Tonhauser, Edeltraut, Erna Heger, all of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner F. Schweizer in 2006; granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn old; parents, Josef Christian Krieg and Ottilie (Haldenwanger) Krieg; sisters, Klara Kast, and Irmgard “Oma” Jarvis; brothers, Anton, Bernhard, Manfred, and Helmut.

Private interment will be held later at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
