Joanne Leber

Joanne Grace Leber, 88, of Norwalk, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 29, 1934, in Akron, daughter of the now-deceased Elmer and Pauline (nee Morrison) Maurer.
She will be remembered most for her strong faith in Jehovah. Joanne was baptized March 17, 1947, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and she spent countless hours teaching Bible truths to others. She was also a loving and caring person who adored her family, always being sure she connected with them regularly, whether in-person, by text, phone call, or over video conference. Some of her hobbies included sewing, making Cabbage Patch dolls, crocheting, cooking and canning.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Delbert Leber; her children, Sheila Buckingham, Sharon (John) Ambrose, David (Deborah) Leber, and Lisa (Ronald) Wright; as well as 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy, Dale, Jack and Gerald.
An online memorial service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, over Zoom video conference.
