Virginia Ewell

Virginia Lee (Dann) Ewell, age 84, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan.

She was born December 19, 1937, in Shelby, OH to the late Leroy E. Dann and Dorothy V. (Adams) Schick. She was a 1956 graduate of Norwalk High School and attended First United Methodist Church. In her earlier years, she managed the Shell gas station in Sandusky for nearly 10 years. She also worked over 15 years at Walmart as a greeter and cashier, retiring in 2018. She was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711, enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, crocheting and being in the outdoors.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Amy Glover; grandchildren, Brandon, Lindsey (Ryan) Short, and Steven (Emily) Glover; great-grandchildren, Henry, Adelyn, and Elena; siblings, Judy Adams, and Beth Bryant; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ewell in 1979; brothers, Leroy Dann, John Dann, and Paul Dann; and sister Edna Bryant.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

So sorry for the loss of Virginia. She was a very special friend. I will miss the phone calls that would last sometimes an hour. Now she is in no pain. Prayers for her family that she loved so much.
