Larry E. Peyton Sr.

Larry E Peyton Sr, age 79, of North Fairfield, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family, wife, children, and grandchildren. He fought a courageous battle with a difficult illness and lived life to the fullest.

He was born May 12, 1943, in Mann, WV one of 16 children to the late Clyde and Bessie (Moore) Peyton. He loved his country, God and especially his family. He was loved by all who knew him. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in Lorain after 34 years of service. He volunteered in the Soldiers of History, that honored members of the armed forces with medals earned in battle. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting deer and followed his favorite team, Cleveland Browns.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Geneva Ann (Wright) Peyton; children, Larry E. (Stacy) Peyton Jr. of Norwalk, Michelle (David) Spence of Shelbyville, KY, and Melinda (David) Carrero of Lorain; grandchildren, Abigail Peyton, Elizabeth Peyton, Kimberly Patience Zelenok, Michael Criss Jr., Melissa Blakeman, Alexander Carrero and Elexa Carrero; great-grandchildren, Michael Criss III, Oliver Criss, Jessa Lynn Blakeman and Peyton Blakeman.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Christian Life Church of God Assembly, 3559 W. Erie Street, Lorain, OH. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
