Robert "Bob" Ward

Robert “Bob” L Ward, age 82, of Norwalk, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Cleveland Metro Hospital.

He was born December 20, 1939, in Norwalk, he was the son of Lloyd and Lucille Ward. Robert is a graduate of Norwalk High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army. After his time in the Army, Robert was employed by the post office and after 42 years of service retired in 2002. Robert loved to fish, watch sports, and collect stamps. He was also an avid dart ballplayer. In his earlier years he coached little league baseball to spend more time with his sons.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marlene; his sisters, Particia Mank, and Roselyn Eckenrod; brothers, Richard, Holly, and William Ward; sons, Randy (Tami) Ward of Fremont, Keith (Jessica) Ward of Norwalk, and Brian Ward of Norwalk; grandchildren, Justin, Parker, Jaden, Lexi, Kohen, and Brody; great-grandchild, Rowan; niece and nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk with Pastor Francis Mariadas officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery with military honors and then a luncheon at St. Mary’s Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Hospice.
