James Leber

James Arthur Leber, age 85, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at his residence.
He was born at home on June 3, 1936, in Sandusky County, Ohio to the late Donald and Annie (Mowry) Leber. He was a 1954 graduate of Monroeville High School and worked many years at Fauhabers, Capital Aluminum, and retired from Clevite. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed tractor pulls. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and Ohio Rifle Association. He was also a member through the years at the American Legion, Eagles, and Moose Lodge.
Survived by his siblings, Audrey Sutton of Clyde, OH, John Leber of Sandy Side, MD, Thomas Leber of Vancouver, WA and Sylvia (Tom) Ruffing of Bellevue; step-children, Betty Keller of Sandusky, Juanita (Frank) Huss of Twinsburg, James (Sharon) Duskin of Clyde, Roy (Kathleen) Duskin of Norwalk and Kenneth Chaffee of Vermilion; brother, Edgil (Beatrice) Collins of Fremont; son-in-law, Herman Young; sister-in-law, Bernadine Collins; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Josephine Chaffee Leber in 2018; in-laws, Henry Sutton, Marie Leber, and Mary Wollam.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
