Hilary and family, I am torn so at Jan's passing. Of course there is the pain of losing her from this earthly plane and her absence from our lives but that loss is comforted at knowing that her pain is gone. I take her great sense of faith as an example for my daily life.
I can just picture Lou being there to greet her with a smile on his face. I'll miss her. She would always ask about my boys. She loved when I would cook for her my salmon or buttered cod. I was always impressed that such a little woman could eat such a huge portion of margaritas glazed salmon.
God bless her and all of you.

Mrs. Trotta, I miss you so much already! I am so blessed to have had you as such an influential figure in my life. You shaped my life and supported me in substantial ways, and not just during my school years either -- I'm talking about as recently as this past September as one of many, many examples of you being there for me whenever, and for whatever, I needed. Thank you for having such amazing kids -- one in particular who is very dear to me. I have so many fond memories of spending time with you and your family, including drinking my first glass of wine at your house (thanks, Lou!), listening to you tell stories about when you were growing up and especially your strong Catholic faith and your love and respect for people of all backgrounds, and the honor of being with you when you got your sight back (what an amazing day that was!). The photo that I have of you at my wedding reception, laughing and chatting with Dan in his tartan, is how I will always remember you: always so much fun to talk to, such a good storyteller and listener, and such a caring and appreciative person who was truly interested in other people's welfare. I will never forget how when my dad died and Eric picked me up at the airport, you and Hilary had made me a care package that included lunch from you: homemade
chicken salad sandwich, chocolate chip cookies, and of course your favorite kind of apples. Many happy memories with you involve my pets and Hilary's pets, and you being so kind and sweet to my pugs. When I think of you entering Heaven, I see Lou walking toward you with a huge smile and Marley and Hamlet running in front of Lou to greet you.
I won't say goodbye because I am going to see you again one day, Mrs. Trotta. You and Lou get the wine ready. I love you.

Chris and family, So very sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I have so many very fond memories of her. None the least of which will be when she was gracious enough to stand up with me when I was baptized. I remember going over for lunch one time and she made the most delicious chicken salad, I still have that recipe and make it to this day. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of loss.

To The Trotta Family. My heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother Janet...a very great lady. As I read the obituary, I can testify with your mother opening the home and making one feel welcome. She was always so gracious and loving towards me as I invaded your home from time to time. You can be thankful for all the years God gave you with her. Now He has reunited her with your father and aunt in paradise. She is at peace.
