Wyott Gromley

Wyott L Gromley, age 78, of Norwalk and formerly Northfield Center, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

He was born January 11, 1944 in Montgomery Township, PA to the late Loy and Vivian Gromley. He retired after 33 years working at Chrysler’s Twinsburg Stamping plant. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and was a member of the UAW Local 122. He was an avid runner and enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie, ice fishing, traveling with his wife, yard work and being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (Adams) Gromley of Norwalk; children, Lisa of TX, Kelly of OH, Joy (James) Tokarsky of Norwalk and Peggy of AZ; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Delmont Gromley of PA, Ralph (Rose) Gromley of TN and Belva Cambier of OH; and brother-in-law, Jerry Caretti of PA; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Gale Orr in 1986; and siblings, Daniel and Byrl.

Friends may call on Monday, February 28, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk followed by a vigil service at 7:00 P.M. A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH with Pastor Paul Schreiner and Deacon Jim Tokarsky officiating. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 P.M at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Northfield Center, OH.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Immaculate Conception School, 304 E. Main Street, Bellevue, OH 44811.
