Dennis Brown

Dennis Alden Brown, age 79, of Norwalk passed away, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Fisher Titus Medical Center following a brief illness.
Dennis was born February 28, 1942, in Norwalk and was a 1960 graduate of Monroeville High School. He went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and later returned graduating with his Master’s Degree in 1972. Dennis enlisted into the Army in 1965 while at OSU, and served 12 years, including time in Vietnam and Italy. After his honorable discharge in 1977 he started a trucking company with this brother, Peru Hollow Transport, and then continued on as a truck driver with RoadWay, Walcher Grain, and finally Homan Transport.
Dennis had a lifelong love of trains both real and model, and he spent many years pursuing that love with various local railroad clubs, where he enjoyed setting up train displays at local events and sharing his love of the hobby.
He is survived by his only brother Douglas (Rose Mary) Brown of Norwalk, nephew Eric (Tracy) Brown, niece Marla (Will) Lewis and great nieces & nephew-in-laws Emily (Anthony) Stieber, Lauran (Jordan) Wolfe, Sarah (Ethan) Oney, Erin (Craig) Johnson and great nephew Isaac Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip and Shirley (Kellogg) Brown.
