Yvonne Obringer

Yvonne Elaine (Silcox) Obringer, age 79, of Norwalk passed away peacefully Friday evening, January 21, 2022.

She was born August 12, 1942 in Norwalk to the late Oscar A. and Florence H. (Baker) Silcox. She was a graduate of Norwalk High School in 1960.

Yvonne cherished her family and was passionate about volunteering and helping others any way she could. She loved entertaining family and friends and playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and golfing with her late husband, Daniel Obringer, and their friends, playing bridge, reading, sewing, and cooking/baking.

Yvonne waitressed at Roman Villa, worked as a Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay, was a member of St. Gerard, and was a Eucharistic minister to those who could not attend mass.

Yvonne and Dan were married nearly 56 years before his passing. She is survived by her children, Kathy Miller, Amy (Sean) Berry, Jeff (Amy) Obringer and Greg (Ann) Obringer all of Norwalk; grandchildren, Colleen, Erica and Kennan Miller, Larissa (Jeremy) Sherman, Alaina (Jordan) Duncan, Ian, Brenna, Anessa, Sela and Mara Berry, Colin, Quinn, and Mattie Obringer and Samantha, Sydney, Blake, Garrett and Eli Obringer; sister, Mary (Silcox) Osborn; great grandchildren, Daniel Duncan, Elowyn Duncan, Madelyn Sherman, and Francesca Vaccaro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. with a prayer service immediately following at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

Donations in Yvonne’s memory may be directed to the Enrichment Centers for Huron County, 130 Shady Lane, Norwalk, OH 44857.

My sympathies to the Obringer Family. I worked with Yvonne at the Roman Villa and she was a joy to work with. Always so proud of she children. I know she’ll be missed. Prayers to her family and friends.

Dear Obringer family, I am so sad to hear this. Yvonne was always so sweet to me. I met her back in the 80's when she worked at Baroni's Roman Villa. My prayer for all of you is that God will wrap His arms around you and put peace in your hearts.
