Jane Hoffman

Jane Eileen (Stark) Hoffman, age 88, formerly of Bay Village and residing at Norwalk Memorial Home, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
She was born April 26, 1933 in Norwalk to the late Marion Stark and Rachel (Smith) Stark. She was a 1951 graduate of Norwalk High School and attended the Bob Jones University in South Carolina where she also played the vibraharp on WMUU radio. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for the office of Dr. George Linn, worked at the former Huron County Bank and flew her first solo flight in a single engine plane at the old Norwalk Airport. She was a former member of the Bay Community Band and played the clarinet and enjoyed teaching the organ and piano at Halle’s and Highees at the Westgate Mall for many years. She enjoyed traveling extensively and was a charter member of the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship church and interested in its foreign ministries.
She is survived by her niece, Linda Keefer of Norwalk; nephews, Jack (Mary) Stark of Oklahoma City, OK and Richard (Maryanne) Stark of Ann Harbor, MI; step-children, Linda Seebok and Thomas Hoffman; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Durward “Dewey” Hoffman; brothers, James H. Stark in 2019 and Bob Stark in 2018.
At Jane’s request there will be no visitation and a graveside service will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, January 21, 2022 at Lakewood Park Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Road, Rocky River, OH. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Memorial contributions may be sent to Answering the Call Together, Inc., P.O. Box 564, Norwalk, OH 44857
