Stephanie Lasky Liss

Stephanie Lasky Liss, age 72, of Fitchville, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.

She was born January 19, 1949 in Oberlin. She was raised in Brighton and graduated from Wellington High School in 1967. She was involved with all her son’s sporting events and her grandchildren also. She made friends easily and many were made through her Genealogy. She attended local, state, and national conferences in Genealogy and also attended and helped with the Czech/Slovak conferences. She managed beauty salons in Lorain and South Amherst and opened her own shop in New London, The Village Belle. In later years she became a district circulation manager for the Journal and worked with the Norwalk Reflector. She loved attending Bluegrass Festivals and going to auctions and finding treasures.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Liss Sr.; sons, Robert Liss Jr. and Joseph Liss, both of Fitchville, Jason (Olivia) Liss of Clarksfield and Jacob Liss of Fitchville; many grandchildren and a great grandchild; siblings, Betty Groot of Kipton and Andrew Lasky of New London.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Stephanie (Horinek) Lasky; her brother, James M. Lasky; and sister, Agnes Johannsen.

There will be no visitation or services. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
